Perfect debut for Dumitrescu

Bogdan Stancu scored a "double" at Ilie Dumitrescu's debut on Steaua’s bench in a match where Victoria Branesti fought until the final moments of the game.

In the stands, the little boys Marius, Radu and Vlad sang: "For Steaua we would give our lives", proud of their shirts with the numbers of Hagi, Lacatus and Dumitrescu. On the bench, the ex-number 8 from Ghencea covered his number with his coat. Steaua forgot the "tiki taka" last night, preferring to play a game you could simply call "taka".

More combative, less patient and with Kapetanos on the top, Steaua had three opportunities in the first 20 minutes of the game with Victoria Brăneşti. All were based on the actions of the Greek striker, but the goal demanded a collective effort. This happened in the 25th minute: Latovlevici's crossed from the left side, Nicolita headed the ball from 5 feet and Stancu dived to score. Unmarked and no problems, 1-0 to Steaua!

Steaua had the control of the game and Victoria Branesti seemed to be a sure victim!  Sebastian Coltescu manged to put the game on thin ice. Ten minutes in the second half and the referee Coltescu gave a penalty for Branesti at the contact between Geraldo - Prodan, converted by Olariu. Dumitrescu still had the English calm, even if in the following minutes Kapetanos, Tanase and Stancu seemed to be actors in an advertisement for Cernea, their former colleague. In the end, the moments of glory for Victoria's goalkeeper were shattered when Bogdan Stancu scored with a chip shot from a penalty kick (68).

Ilie Stan's boys tried to score, but Tatarusanu cleared a ball sent by Dorinel Popa, Victoria Branesti's master of shots. Marius, Radu and Vlad went home happy.

Two penalties: one awarded easily, another hilarious
In the 56th minute, Sebastian Coltescu easily offered a penalty for Brăneşti, after a contact between Geraldo and Ciprian Prodan. After seeing the highlights at Antena 1 in the stands, Gigi Becali exclaimed: "This is crazy! What penalty is this?". In the 67th minute,  the referee easily gave a penalty for Steaua, after a pressuming that Kapetanos was pushed by Marincau (photo 2). A few seconds before, the Greek was more obviously attacked in the penalty area, but Coltescu left the game to continue!
