Unirea Urziceni is 99% the new champion after their away victory, 2-1, at Timisoara. The local team scored first (Gigel Bucur) but Dan Petrescu's team came back after half time and scored twice (Paduretu and Bilasco).
With 69 points ans one leg to go Unirea has 4 points over Dinamo and 8 over Timisoara. They now wait for the TAS decision over the 6 points penalty for Politehnica.
