Gabriel Tamaş helped Steaua's players with some pointers about Liverpool and warned them that they musn't give them any chances to score.
27 year old Gabriel Tamaş is the last Romanian player to face Liverpool on Anfield Road when he lost 1-0 with WBA. Torres scored the winning goal for Steaua's next opponent in the Europa League. Although he is known for his anti-Steaua position, Gabi Tamas didn't hesitate to offer Ilie Dumitrescu's squad some advice before the big game on Thursday.
- Who's the best player from Liverpool?
- About 15 of them, that's the truth: the team is dangerous. It's a big mistake to think that only Gerrard or Torres can create problems. If you do this you could be surprised by Kuyt, Babbel or even Carragher. In the Premier League you run until your last breath. You either keep the pace or "Good Bye!"

- What should Steaua avoid?
- I want to say something from the beggining: Liverpool is a team that tey can beat!
- Concidering they don't have 4 legs, the ball is round...
- No! Liverpool can lose even on Anfield! They didn't start that well this season and they were lucky to win against us. I really get mad when I think about how we lost that game. They only had one chance to score and they did it. Steaua musn't give them chances. They musn't stand down!

- The defense. Big names, big guys that can be easily passed if you play fast. They are careless, too careless. If your legs have the will of your heart you can win. And if you add inspiration and technique...
- How should Steaua abord this match?
- No fear, they have nothing to lose. You can only gain when you play against Liverpool.
- How do you feel on Anfield as an opponent?
- It's an honor to play on Anfield. I like playing on big stadiums even though the fans are against me. I think that Ilie Dumitrescu's players share the same feeling. They aren't kids any more to glance at the stands. They must keep their focus on the game, they shouldn't think about the fans. You can't panic!
