Fans are starting to say that "Răzvan is a joke!". The crowd is starting to lose it's patience. We are only above Luxembourg with only 2 out of 6 possible points. Mircea Sandu could fire Lucescu.
Stancu and Marica wasted our biggest chances to score a winning goal and we have to be satisfied with a goalless draw in Belarus.
Lucescu was warned by the good game played by Belarus in France and responded with a good possesion and a solid counterattack. Bilasco was the key, winning many duels in the air and managing to get balls to Deac and Stancu. This is how we tried to attack in the first minutes.
Our players managed to control the game having a 5-2 lead on goal chances until the break. Bogdan Stancu's header (25), Torje's shot (33) were both saved by Jevnov. Romania's game worked better because Florescu really started to play like an attacking midfielder.
Rat's gift
Hleb and his teammates managed a good passing game, but only until they reached our penalty area. Our defense was confident and didn't let anything slip by them. Only one mistake: Rat gave a slow pass to Pantilimon and the goalkeeper had to dive in front of Alexandr Hleb to avoid a goal.
Forcing without result
The second half started in the same manner. Cociş missed the target (53), Stancu took a good header, but he was offside (57). Then Deac passed a bit too late to Rat on a dangerous attack (71). Kisliak nearly scored when his shot just missed the goal (74). Lucescu tried to reinforce his offense by using three forwards, but with no result. Marica almost scored at his first touch of the ball, but the goalkeeper pulled a great save (84). Jevnov again saved the day for Belarus reaching another great shot from Marica (87). That was Romania's last chance. A goalless draw that gives us nothing to hope for.
