CFR expected a lot from their match against Roma, but they lost and the game against Chelsea will be their last one in a European competition this year. Two goals from Brighi and one from Totii where enough to secure the Italian's the win they needed. Kone scored the only goal of the game for CFR Cluj.
Bordeaux secured a draw, 1-1, against Chelsea and they ensured a place in the next round of the Champions League or UEFA Cup, depending on their result against Roma in the final round of the group stage.
