The players from Austria have courage now after Romania lost the game with Serbia and they are sure that they can defeat us, too
The national team of Austria waits with confidence and rested for our players. Austria didn’t play on Saturday, and the evolution of the team trained by Victor Piţurcă against Serbia encouraged the players trained by Dietmar Constantini. "This is an important match for us and we want to defeat you. You have a good team, with good players, but you are not to be afraid of", declared full of optimism the black forward from Austria Viena, Rubin Rafael Okotie (21 years old).
The Turkish midfielder, Umit Korkmaz, added: "We will have a very difficult match, because your team has its self-pride wounded after the defeat from Saturday evening. But we are not afraid and we will play to win". The forward Marko Arnautovici, who has Serbian origins, wants to defeat the "tricolors", too: "I was very happy because Serbia won. You didn’t play good at all in the first half, and this thing cost you. We respect you, but we are a young team which wants to have good results and we’ll make all the possible to win. We know that it will be very hard, but if you play just the way you did on Saturday, we have big chances to defeat you".
Accent on the offensive
The Austrians trained yesterday morning for only 45 minutes at Velden, a mountain resort from the south of Valse Country, situated at 18 kilometers from Klagenfurt. Their plan failed because of the cold and sprinkle rain. The spotter Constantini insisted on the offensive schemes, asking the players to bring the ball as fast as possible to the borders, for the centre in front of the goalpost. Amazingly, although Austria is out of the qualification race, the atmosphere during the conference was very relaxed.
They closed the hotel
The Romanian football players will be lodged in a 5 stars hotel, Werzer, situated on the border of the river Worthensee. The tour of the hotel was made by the manager, Heidi Schaller: "We have lodged many football teams, but it has never happened like now. After they paid, the Romanians asked expressly, that since the delegation arrives here and until they leave, three days, to be the only persons in this hotel. This is not advantageous for us". The Romanian delegation will occupy only 45 rooms from the 190 rooms of the hotel, plus two apartments. The hosts made even e discount, 100 euro for a person per night, from 130 euro as it is usually.
"It is good that lost with Serbia, because you are just like us under pressure and it will be very difficult to win. Romania is favored and I think that it will still struggle for the second place, a position which we still hope, too"
