Narcisa Lecuşanu says that the victory with Hungary showed the group force of the Romanian team and she is optimistic before the matches that are about to come
The player of the game in the match with Hungary, Narcisa Lecuşanu does not think that she made the game of her life in the match played on Monday evening. She scored 12 goals; she had a success of 92%, and she has been lauded by everybody. "The Centre" says that she didn’t win the match by herself, but because Romania was a united team.
- Narcisa, congratulations for the evolution against Hungary. This was your match, you were unstoppable.
- Thank you, but I think that the entire team played well. We have won the match not because Lecuşanu has scored 12 goals, but because we were united. Mainly in the first half, we have made an excellent game on the defensive side. We have worked for any ball, we have communicated and we didn’t give away in the difficult moments.
- Have you ever scored at the national team 12 goals?
- No, I have scored 11 goals the most. But it wasn’t the match of my life. I have made even other good matches, but, maybe this with Hungary is the most present in the memory of the supporters. Last year, at the European Championships, I scored ten times with Hungary, then it was the match with Croatia. But this thing is not important. It is important that the team won. We don’t need to be brilliant as an individual, but as a group.
- How did you celebrate?
- We didn’t celebrate. It was Vlad Caba’s anniversary, we touched a glass of beer and we went to bed because it was midnight and we were tired. It is not the moment to celebrate, we have defeated Hungary and it was normal because that’s why we came here.
- The match with Norway is close. Do we have any chances to win with the Olympic champion?
- Until then we shouldn’t forget about Tunisia. We have defeated Norway even before, we will do everything to win this time, too.
