The new sports manager of Steaua, Basarab Panduru, commented about the relationship he had with the sponsor of the team. "Nobody can make Gigi shot up, not even Panduru.
If you see that my opinion won’t coincide with his opinion, please don’t think that I am against him, but simply remember that I have always said only what I see and think", said Panduru.
„I don’t want to be compared with anyone. When I was coach, I would have liked to work with two people: MM or Dinu Gheorghe. They are very good, they had good results, but they have been doing this job for 20 years, while I am starting now”
