Rădoi says that the "eights" from Champions League will remain a taboo for the Romanian teams in the next 10 years
Mirel Rădoi says that Steaua reached the climax in Champions League and thinks that no team from 1st League can pass the groups phase. :(
"We were for the 3rd time consecutive in the groups, but I don’t think we are able to do more. In the next decade, no club in Romania will arrive in the «eights». Not even Steaua, which is the best team from the championship", explained the captain of “red-blue” for the site of UEFA.
The leader from the locker room of the vice champion spoke then about the accidents suffered in the last few years, but also about the supporters’ attachment to the club from Ghencea.
"I had a lot of problems because of my accidents, but it also a good moment to realize that I cannot leave without football. When I enter on the field and I hear the fans calling my name, I feel very good. :) That’s what I fight for! Steaua is not just a team, it’s a legend!", ended Rădoi.
"I am more optimist than Rădoi. In maximum 5 years we will see a Romanian team in the «eights». We have demonstrated that we are not far away from Bayern or Fiorentina"
