Unirea Urziceni has sold only 400 tickets for their debut match on their own field in the groups of Champions League. The match Unirea Urziceni – VfB Stuttgart, scheduled tomorrow on the stadium Steaua from Bucharest, has all the chances to establish a negative audience in the history of record Champions League.
„The stadium will be empty. I don’t want to speak about this match. Nobody is interested in this match. Nobody comes in Bucharest to see a Champions League match and neither can we play on our own field, at Urziceni. We have sold only 400 tickets in two days, although the prices are cheap! This shouldn’t happen!
I expected that there won’t be too many people on the stadium, but not this way. I feel sorry that we were not allowed by UEFA to play in Austria, at Klagenfurt. There, we would have had the stadium full, a perfect greensward and excellent conditions. I am afraid that at the match Unirea – Stuttgart will be the shortest recipe in the history of Champions League”, complained Meme Stoica in Adevărul.
