The first semifinal of BCR Open Romania will be played between Albert Montanes (Spain) and Santiago Ventura (Spain).
Albert Montanes defeated the Italian Fabio Fognini in two series, 6-1, 6-1, while Santiago Ventura defeated also his compatriot Ruben Ramirez Hidalgo in two series 6-2, 6-3.
The semifinal will be played on Saturday.
In the second semifinal Juan Monaco will play against the winner between Maximi Gonzalez (Argentina) and Simon Greul (Germany).
