Articol de GSP - Publicat joi, 21 mai 2009 00:00

The president of FRF, Mircea Sandu, should have been heard yesterday by the prosecutors in Piteşti, but he asked a respite until after June 8th, motivating that until then he won’t be in the country

DNA Piteşti sent to the Federation a list with the persons who had to be yesterday at the hearings, in Piteşti. Among these appears also the name of the president from Football House, Mircea Sandu. It is said that “The Godfather” is suspected by the inquisitors after the denunciation made by another character investigated in this case, the referee Tiberiu Lajos.

He postponed the hearings at DNA until June 8th
The president of FRF didn’t come at the hearings. He is already in Turkey, at Istanbul, for the final of UEFA Cup. "It is true that I have received a citation from DNA. I will go there after June 8th, when I will be in the country. I am cited as witness! Perhaps they will ask me about the rules and the organization of the federation. And who knows what kind of other questions!", admitted   Sandu. Member in the Executive Committee of UEFA, “The Godfather” will be in Rome next week, for the final of Champions League and then he is going to participate between 29 May - 4 June, at the FIFA Congress from Bahamas, and from there he will "fly" straight to Latvia, where on June 6th, the national team will play, in the preliminaries of WC 2010.

Prunea is in Belgrade
Accused that he took 12.000 dollars as bribe and lobbyism, Florin Prunea should have been present today at Piteşti. "Nobody asked me to come there, and anyway, I am not in Romania, sent by UEFA in order to check the program «Hattrick» in Serbia. I will be back on 27!", said Prunea. However, his attorney, Ion Adrian, will go today at DNA: "I will go there in order to present some documents they asked from us!".
