Lobonţ was relegated as Roma's third goalkeeper after his disastrous game in the Italian Supercup.
His game in the Italian Supercup which Roma lost 1-3 to Inter will cost Bogdan Lobonţ. The Romanian national team goalkeeper lost his chance to became the leading keeper at his team. According to Il Messaggero he is now on Claudio Ranieri's black list and he will be the third choice as goalkeeper after Julio Sergio and Doni.
"It's hard to believe that Lobonţ will start again in Roma's goal. On Saturday with Inter he blew his shot. He showed his limits, he is guilty for at least two of the goals Roma received. In this moment, the Romanian can't even be presented to the fans at Olimpico", said Il Messaggero in yesterday's edition.

"Is he worth the money?"
Il Messaggero doubts that Lobonţ's true value reaches one million euros: "It's an important sum, considering Roma's financial troubles. The club fullfiled Claudio Ranieri's wish but is he really worth the money?"
