Lucian Bute: "I have demonstrated that I deserve to be champion!"

"I thank to all the people who woke up this morning especially for me. You cannot imagine the way I feel in these moments. It was an excellent night. I have worked hard for this match. I have demonstrated that I deserve to be champion and that there was an accident in 2008.

It was a great opportunity for me. I hope in the future to box only on HBO and have only great matches. Lenox told me that I am a good boxer, that I made a good match and now nobody can defeat me.

I am very happy that the match was broadcasted in Romania, too. I thank to those people who made possible for this match to be seen in Romania. I am looking forward to come home", said Lucian Bute after the match.
