Oltchim is the first team qualified in the semifinals of champions League after the draw obtained yesterday in Russia, at Volgograd
"The Galactic" from Oltchim do not have emotions. With two laps before the end of the matches in the group, the players from Oltchim Rm. Vîlcea qualified in the semifinals of Champions League for the second consecutive year. Radu Voina’s girls made yesterday a draw match, 32-32 in Russia, with the champion Dinamo Volgograd and they assured even mathematically the place in the square of four aces from Europe.
Dinamo Volgograd, defeated in the turn at Vîlcea with 30-24, needed a victory to keep the real chances to the qualification. Viktor Riabik’s team with less than five world champion in the team, has started in force the dispute and they distanced quickly at 9-5! The Romanian girls have mobilized themselves and they rearranged immediately, equalizing to 10. La vestiare, cele două formaţii au plecat la egalitate, 15-15.
In the second part Oltchim has taken over the initiative. Vizitiu started to send the tracing in the goalpost of the Russian girls, Oana Manea played with the defense of the hosts and Maier kept her efficiency at the 7 meters tossing. Oltchim distanced at 24-22, but in the end it trembled for a favorable result. At 31-29 for Dinamo, with a man less on the field, Oltchim defended sensationally and it struggled to obtain the qualifying point. Vizitiu brought the joy in the team of the Romanian girls when there were left only 30 seconds of play, contrary to the efforts of the hosts, in the last attack, Levina shot only the right bar of the goalpost defeated by Paula Ungureanu.
Oltchim is this way the first team qualified in the semifinals of Champions League, now they have to play with Viborg only to obtain the first place in the group.
The pirate from Volgograd!
Patricia Vizitiu was also yesterday, at Volgograd, the best scorer of Oltchim, the right inter having scored 7 times. Vizitiu played with a black plaster around the left eye, being like a pirate. "Patricia received a fistcuff above the eye in the friendly matches with France, at the national team. Then, at the Wednesday training Gabi Szucs hit her beneath the left eye. The doctor Oancea applied that plaster in order to reduce the aches and absorb the bruises", explained the coach Radu Voina.

In the other group from champions League, Gyor and Larvik – the champions from Hungary and Norway – have the biggest chances gathered in the semifinals. Yesterday in the direct match from Gyor, the hosts defeated with 28-23 a match in which Simona Spiridon scored 5 goals, and Aurelia Brădeanu 4. Krim Ljubljana, the third classified in the group, has still chances to qualify, but must defeat Leipzig today, the champion of Germany.
