Paszkany negotiated and managed to convince Sorin Cîrţu to take control of the team.
Nothing could predict the storm that started last night at Cluj! Even though it seemed like Andrea Mandorlini will be kept on CFR's bench for the Champions League, Arpad Paszkany fired the Italian and put in charge Sorin Cîrţu! But how did this happen?
Cîrţu reached Cluj at noon and after two hours of negotiations accepted tot take control of the team signing a two year contract. "Everything is resolved and CFR will have a new coach. We needed someone who knows the team and our opponents in the championship. This is why we picked Sorin Cîrţu. He is a tough coach and can easily lead our team", said one of our sources. Cîrţu will be presented today and will lead the morning training session. He will earn 150.000 euros per season.
