Dan Petrescu went to Chişinău to have the last discussion regarding the subscription of the contract. "The Badger" aligned with the officials from the Russian club and he signed a contract on 3 years with Kuban Krasnodar.
Petrescu will earn almost 1,5 million euro every year.
"The Badger" had also another purpose through his presence at Chişinău. He wanted to meet the Moldavian Emil Caras, whom he wants to take as second coach in Russia, just as Mircea Lucescu has as second coach at Şahtior another Moldavian, Alexandru Spiridon. Caras worked this autumn with another Romanian, Mircea Rednic, at Alania Vladikavkaz.
Dan Petrescu, Emil Caras and the officials from Kuban Krasnodar will go to Russia this afternoon, where "The Badger" will be presented the stadium, the training campus and the conditions he will benefit of in the 3 years of contract. Between Bucharest and Krasnodar are around 1.000 kilometers.
However, there were some problems with the travel. The sponsor of Krasnodar has sent initially a plane from Kiev to take him from Chişinău. The plane didn’t get off the ground because of the snow and this way another plane was sent from Doneţk, which got off to Krasnodar at 15:20.
